Ukiyo has been a term which I connect with deeply, as it embodies my approach to life. After working as a carer mentor for 4 years & later within the skincare & beauty industry, I wanted to continue my career with face to face connection whilst considering my own well-being too.
I created my business which carries passion & a high standard of service inclusive to each skin & body type. Holistic relaxation has been a weekly ritual of mine for 4 years, allowing me to achieve good work & life balance, stress release & self care. The meaning of Ukiyo is the heart of my business & purpose behind the service. It is of Japanese origin: “A modern state of mind, living in the moment, detached from the bothers of life.” It is a blissful, relaxing service that delivers calm to your every day life. Within my treatment menu are a range of facial & body treatments made with everyone in mind, suitable for skin types ranging from normal, rosacea, menopausal & blemish prone. BOOKING INFORMATION
Please use the booking system to schedule your appointment. You can choose whether to pay a £10 deposit to secure your appointment time or whether to pay in full. Please note, both options are non-refundable. If choosing the £10 deposit, this will be deducted from the remaining treatment balance on the day. Payments on the day can be made via bank transfer or card payment. I do not accept cash.
If you are booking via a gift voucher, please contact me directly as my online booking system does not yet support the use of paper vouchers. Vouchers have a 6 month expiry date & will not be accepted as a form of payment if this date has expired.
You will have up to 36 hours before your treatment time to reschedule or cancel your appointment. You can do this via the link provided in your email confirmation. For bookings that are rescheduled or cancelled with 36 hours (or less) notice, the remaining treatment balance will be required & a new booking will have to be made. This also goes for ‘no shows’. I am located in a home based treatment room, a full address is sent via email at the time of booking.

My online booking system does not yet support the use of paper gift vouchers therefore you will need to contact me directly via social media or text message. I will book your desired appointment for you on your behalf & send a confirmation email providing you with all relevant information along with the new treatment balance. All usual booking policies will apply. You must bring your gift voucher with you to your appointment so this can be disposed of accordingly.

A £10 non-refundable deposit is taken via my booking system however the remaining cost of treatment is required on the day of your appointment. This can be paid via bank transfer or online, I can request a payment via the booking system to the same card used for your deposit. You will be expected to complete the payment before leaving your appointment. Please be aware my business is cashless.

I do, however appointments are limited due to working from home & minimising disturbance. Evening appointments are available on Wednesdays. Weekend appointments are posted onto my social media when they are open, so follow my page to keep up to date.

To save time at the start of your facial appointment, it is recommended to remove makeup beforehand & remove any jewellery such as necklaces & earrings. I include a complimentary neck & shoulder massage with each facial so wear a top that allows access to these areas such as a vest top. With regards to body treatments, please also remove jewellery & cover any open cuts or abrasions with a plaster - this is a health & safety requirement. If wearing fake tan, the treatment oils & scrubs can break down the tan, so time your appointment with your own tanning & body care routine!

Within your treatment confirmation email is a link which enables you to cancel or reschedule. Follow the steps given within the link. Please note you can do this up to 36 hours beforehand. If you do not show up for your appointment or cancel with 24 hours notice or less, you will be charged the full treatment cost.

Most of my treatments offered are suitable for individuals with nut allergies however as a rule I recommend bringing your own products to an appointment. This is because although the product itself may not include nuts, I cannot guarantee the factory the products are made in avoid nuts, or have other products linked to nuts. If you have this allergy please contact me directly on social media or text & I can personalise a treatment for you using your own products.

You can contact me at any time to discuss treatment options & explore what would be suitable. If interested in facial treatments, I’d recommend sending me a photo of your skin via social media & I can recommend some dreamy facials for you! Treatments can be adjusted for you, to ensure you get the maximum benefit.

There are strict procedures surrounding treatment during pregnancy. Providing you have no complications or medical conditions you can choose from the following treatments:

Please note, you can only be treated after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The treatments suggested are 60 minutes or less & the products included are deemed pregnancy safe. I will prepare the room to be as comfortable as possible, providing extra cushions & support. Some ladies will require a doctor’s consent before beginning treatment if they are prone to miscarriage or sickness. To avoid any doubt, I invite you to contact me directly to discuss your desired treatment & any symptoms you may be experiencing. Pressure points will be avoided & a light massage completed to ensure your safety & comfort.

If you are receiving chemotherapy, my personal policy is to wait 3-6 months after the treatment has ended & your symptoms have reduced. If you have cancer but are not receiving chemotherapy, a doctor’s written consent is required before visiting to ensure my service is suitable for you, & should be provided at our first meeting.
